The three doctors I had consulted beforehand stated that I would need at least three operations and that the recovery process would be long, lasting nine to twelve months. Swelling occurred on the upper part of my left knee. My doctor drained the fluid and sent it for culture. The culture revealed the presence of the bacteria ACINETOBACTER BAUMANNII. The MRI showed that it had not spread to the cartilage tissue. I underwent arthroscopic surgery on my left knee on July 17, 2018, and the bacteria was removed. I am fine now.
